Geoff Parker

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Geoff comes from a background in imaging research, with a degree in physics and a PhD in magnetic resonance imaging. He has developed and applied many novel MRI techniques in a range of disease settings including cancer, lung diseases and neurological conditions. He has played a leading role in the development of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) and diffusion MRI tractography. More recently he has pioneered new developments in oxygen-enhanced MRI (OE-MRI) with a focus on unique methods for quantifying lung physiology. In addition to his role with Bioxydyn he is Professor of Biomedical Imaging at the University of Manchester. Geoff has published approximately 200 peer-reviewed journal papers.

 

Caleb Roberts

Head of Imaging Services

Caleb leads Bioxydyn’s Imaging Services and oversees the day-to-day operations of our imaging trials. Caleb has been involved with Bioxydyn since 2010 and his key role is to ensure the delivery of high quality imaging biomarkers to our customers, focusing on imaging site training, qualification, standardisation and image quality control. Caleb brings over 12 years experience to this role and has extensive background in the field of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) acquisition and analysis, working on numerous single- and multi-centre imaging trials. Caleb took an undergraduate degree in Physiology and a PhD in magnetic resonance imaging, with a focus on developing robust image acquisition and analysis methods for DCE-MRI in oncology. During this time Caleb published numerous journal papers and conference proceedings. He also worked as an imaging project and quality manager in an imaging core-lab within the University of Manchester before joining Bioxydyn.

 

Tony Lacey

Head of Product Development

Tony leads Product Development within Bioxydyn, spearheading the creation of our first products aimied at clinical and radiological users, as well as ensuring delivery of analysis software to support our Imaging Services division. Tony joined Bioxydyn in the summer of 2013 after several years leading Software Development of CE marked and FDA 510(k) approved medical imaging products at Optasia Medical. Prior to this Tony was with AstraZeneca as an Imaging Informatics Specialist providing software solutions and image analysis expertise in support of drug development in particular for DCE-MRI in oncology and rheumatoid arthritis studies and cartilage volume estimation in the study of osteoarthritis. Tony has an undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering and a PhD in Computer Vision. 

 

Jose Ulloa

Head of Imaging Physics

Jose leads our growing team of Imaging Physicists, which develops and implements imaging methods for our imaging services and imaging product activities. Jose has more than 15 years of experience of SMEs, academia and the pharmaceutical industry. His work has been mainly focused on developing quantitative MRI acquisition and analysis methods for a range of applications, including monitoring lung and liver function. Jose joined Bioxydyn in 2013, after six years at AstraZeneca as Senior Imaging Scientist in the preclinical imaging group, where he developed MRI methods for oncology and toxicology imaging studies. Jose holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Signal Processing.

 

Eva Salgado

Quality and Regulatory Manager

Eva is the Quality and Regulatory Manager at Bioxydyn, ensuring compliance to the latest applicable regulatory requirements, guided through the principles of international standards, and determining strategies for obtaining medical device approvals in different countries. She has an undergraduate degree in Physics and has been working in quality management within the medical device industry since 2008, taking ownership of the design, implementation, improvement and maintenance of quality management systems, especially for manufacturers of medical devices that contain software as an integral part. Eva also has a strong regulatory background and has contributed to obtain medical device regulatory approvals worldwide.
