Oxygen-enhanced MRI sheds light on oxygen delivery in pregnancy

New University of Manchester oxygen-enhanced MRI research published in the journal Magnetic Resonance in Medicine demonstrates how the technique can be used in pregnancy to help understand oxygen delivery to the fetus via the placenta. The publication by Huen et al, 'R1 and R2* changes in the human placenta in response to maternal oxygen challenge' breaks new ground for the OE-MRI methods developed by Bioxydyn personnel and collaborators.
