New Bioxydyn publications show the power of lung MRI

Bioxydyn has been involved in a cluster of groundbreaking research papers that demonstrate the power of lung MRI in COPD and asthma. The research exploits two of Bioxydyn's tecnologies - oxygen-enhanced MRI (OE-MRI) and MRI for tissue density measurement (qS0). The COPD work shows that dynamic OE-MRI is sensitive to the disease and to the effects of anti-inflammatory treatment and that qS0 measurements provide equivalent information to CT for the measurement of lung density. The asthma work also shows that dynamic OE-MRI is sensitive to the severity of disease. These findings show the power and versitility of MRI for characterising lung structure and function in disease using safe, repeatable and accessible technology.
